Ht://Dig currently only supports single byte character sets.
The character entity set you are speaking of
(http://www.w3.org/TR/1999/REC-html401-19991224/sgml/entities.html#h-24.3)
is a two byte character set.
Two byte character sets are also not supported by a wide variaty of
browsers available to the market right now. Especially the above
mentioned character set is unsopported by quite a number of graphical
and non-graphical web clients and will therefore not produce the
intended output visual on a large number of client machines.
