If by line numbers, you mean which line in the source document the first
match occurs, then no, there is no way to do this. In fact, in an HTML
document, any concept of line numbers would likely be meaningless, because
browsers fold lines differently based on user-selected font size and window
As for the text where the match occurred, htsearch does show a small
excerpt by default, highlighting the matched word.
