htfuzzy endings will create or change word2root.db and root2word.db, and
htfuzzy synonyms will create or change synonyms.db, all in common_dir
(which may or may not be set in your htenglish2.conf file). None of this
should mess up permissions or cause problems with merging (htmerge doesn't
use these databases), so the problem must be something else.
