i have 3.1.5, and have some trouble figuring out how to really customize
all the template html files in htdig/common/.

what i want to do is have a restrict option box on my search pages which
users can use to restrict to certain web sites, and have that option
selected as the default when the page is returned. the $METHOD, $FORMAT,
and $SORT variables seem to do this, but these seem work by "magic."

i can do this with perl with something like:
popup_menu(-name=>'restrict',
           -values=>['www.foo.org','www.bar.org','www.foobar.org',''],
           -default=>$RESTRICT),
but the htdig format seems incompatible with this.

thanks...
