[htdig] configure problem with version 3.1.3

Hello

When i run configure i get the following error

# ./configure

checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) is a cross-compiler... no
checking whether we are using GNU C... yes
checking whether gcc accepts -g... yes

checking whether the C++ compiler (c++ ) works... no
configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C++ compiler cannot
create executables.

plattform is Solaris 2.5.1 sparc with gcc 2.8.1

What am i missing ?
