Other possible causes are:
- The words are found towards the end of a large document, but aren't in
the excerpt because it was truncated to max_head_length. (That doesn't
seem to be the case here, given the sizes reported.)
- The db.docdb is corrupt, although that usually results in entire entries
being dropped from the search results.
