I can see no reason why these links would not work. htdig would simply
skip over the class=... parameter, quietly, and then act on the href=...
parameter just as it would normally do. I suggest you run htdig -vvvv
and look at the debugging output to find the real reason these links
are not being followed. E.g. look for "URL rejected" or any other such
message.
