I think I see the problem here. Your unsubscribe request resulted in
the following log entry:
slb-proxy-01.boeing.com - - [09/Sep/1999:06:31:40 -0700] "GET /cgi-bin/cgiemail/mail.txt?name=Derric+Tubbsemail@example.com&required-list=htdig&required-subject=unsubscribe&success=%2Fmailing.html&submit=Submit+Request HTTP/1.0" 200 2729
This means you unsubscribed (and presumably also subscribed) using the
e-mail address "firstname.lastname@example.org". However, the return address
in your e-mail is "Derric.Tubbs@West.Boeing.com", which doesn't match
what the BeroList software had as your address in the htdig members
database. The string matching in BeroList is case insensitive, so the
presence or absence of capitals isn't a problem, but it doesn't do "fuzzy"
matching, so the missing "l." and the extra "west." do pose a problem.
I guess the best advice is to unsubscribe the way you subscribe. Either
do both by e-mail or do both by the web, so you know you're using the
same address each time.
According to Tubbs, Derric L:
> I _did_ copy and paste, I _did_ put it in the SUBJECT line, and I _did_ copy
> and paste the address to send it to also! I did all of this twice and
> continued to receive emails from the list. Once I went and did it from the
> website it stopped. Thanks anyhow.
