Yes, Rodger, you are quite right! You should add a

        delete ref;

to htnotify/htnotify.cc, right after the "htnotify(*ref);" in the while
loop right at the end of main(). Geoff is in the process of putting
together another fix to htnotify right now, so hopefully he'll get this
fix in at the same time.
