htdig: 'exclude' and 'restrict'

Hi everyone,

I've been following the 'exclude & restrict' discussion with some amazement
... in the htdig that I use, whenever I put a single 'exclude' in the form
htsearch treats it as a 'restrict'. I've been testing it extensively, and
the behaviour is _exactly_ as I say.

When I put a 'restrict' in the form, it gets treated as 'restrict', which
makes sense. But I found no way to 'exclude' any urls... & I figured it was
a bug so obvious I needn't even mention it on the list.

There are no 'excludes' in the config file I use. Yes, I tried to 'exclude'
some files from the search there, but the config 'exclude' is only used by
htdig, not by htsearch.

Could there be a simple ...misconfiguration or something ? Does it make any
sense to anyone ?

thanks,

So, when we are told that some people won't want to work, we
immediately have a string of excellent reasons to show that work, that
is the exercise of our faculties and the pleasure to produce, is at the
root of man's well-being, and that it is therefore ridiculous to
think that healthy people would wish to withdraw from the need to
produce for the community when work would not be oppressive,
exploited and despised, as it is today.
