htdig: Missing Files in Search Results

Using a fairly unmodified version of htdig-3.1.0b1 with local file
search, I'm not getting hits in all the documents that I should. If I
search using htDig, I miss files that I can get by searching using the
exact same word/term with grep. While some of the files in the directory
show up, not all of them. All the file permissions are set to allow
anyone to read them, so that doesn't seem to be the problem. Any
suggestions?

I'm using rundig just as:

        /usr/local/bin/htdig -i $verbose -s

and the htdig.conf is set for local file:
        local_urls: http://www.hronline.com/=/httpd/html/
        start_url: http://www.hronline.com/

The dig results shows about 41,000 files, which is about right.

Any help appreciated.
