I am not able to compile htdig-3.1.0b1 on intel Linux
running RedHat 4.2. The make terminates witn the error:

make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/m/temp/htdig/htdig-3.1.0b1
/htsearch'
c++ -o htmerge -ggdb -L../htlib -L../htcommon -L../db-2.4.14
/build.unix -L../rx-1.5/rx -L/usr/lib docs.o htmerge.o
words.o -lcommon -lht -ldb -lrx
ld: cannot open -lg: No such file or directory

The same error appears for all ather programs (htnotify,
htmerge, htdig and htfuzzy).

I do have libg++-2.7.1.4-5 rpm installed on the system. I
grabbed previous release, htdig-3.0.8b2 and that one
compiled without any problem.

I was able to compile htdig-3.1.0b1 on RH 5.1 with no
problem, but my production server still runs RH 4.2.

Any ideas how to fix this will be greatly appreciated.
