Hi Andrew!

When you compiled the htdig package for solaris you must have
set some presets. For example CONFIG_DIR, COMMON_DIR
and other things.

htsearch does not use the one single config file that I´ve got on the
machine so it must be using some other default settings.
The config file is /etc/htdig/htdig.conf.

Is /etc/ htdig the place where CONFIG_DIR is pointing to in your
solaris package?

What else might be the reason that this file will not be used by
htsearch?

Another question: Where does htsearch get things like
$(METHOD)
$(FORMAT)
(both taken from /var/htdig/common/header.html)
from? Where do these variables get set?

I´m really looking forward to solve those little problems.
