htdig: compiling

Hello, I am having a problem getting HtDig to compile. I am trying to put it on a Sparc machine running Solaris 2.6. During the final compile, I got a bunch of error messages that scrolled by too quick to really see. It did not fail though. When it finished, I only had 2 of the executables, and needless to say they wouldn't run. The only thing I can think of is that it's a compiler problem. We don't have gcc, we just have Solaris CC. Could this be the problem? I'm not very familiar with Solaris, so would it be hard to get gcc and put it on?
