Unfortunately, htdig only supports 8-bit character sets, so it will not
support Chinese. It would be a huge job to convert htdig to support
Unicode, and so far there have been no volunteers to do so. There would
also be the challenge of word separation to deal with, but perhaps there
are algorithms already developed for this purpose, which would need to be
incorporated into the htdig code.
