It won't actually require an implementation. He has released the code
into the public domain, so we can use his implementation. (I sent him
an e-mail about the license.) If you see the article, there is a
section of the magazine called "Code" which links to a .zip file of a
.cpp and .h file.

I don't think it would be hard to "port" this to an additional fuzzy.
Maybe "doublemeta" or something like that? I suggest leaving the
original metaphone so people can try each one.
