HElL0 htdig3-developers :)
are there any possibility to run htsearch as daemon to listen
unix|TCPIP socket for queries and return results thru socket in some
easy-parseable format and don't generate HTML ? SWISH-E++ does , but it
works poorly on huge document sets and have other idiosyncrasies :).
also this will allow to keep one cache for all queries to DB,
decreasing disk IO and need to fill index cache on each invocation.
i would like to see this feature and if you can point me which
functions/files in htsearch are responsible for query parsing and
result output, i'll try to hack htsearch a little bit :)
if there are some reasons that prevent such behavior of htsearch ,
please keep me informed.
Best regards,
