I am trying to use the snapshots of the 3.2.0b1 release,
currently htdig-3.2.0b1-dev-011600
I configure them with the script :

 #! /bin/sh
configure --prefix=/home/ppp/htdig-test \
--exec-prefix=/home/ppp/htdig-test \
--with-config-dir=/home/ppp/htdig-test/conf \
--with-common-dir=/home/ppp/htdig-test/common \
--with-database-dir=/home/ppp/htdig-test/dbase \
--with-cgi-bin-dir=/home/ppp/htdig-test/cgi-bin \
--with-image-dir=/home/ppp/htdig-test/images \
--with-search-dir=/home/ppp/htdig-test \
--enable-tests

It configures, compiles and installs without a murmur.

Using the example configuration script put in the conf directory
( after editing name of maintainer) I issue a rundig
which immediately dumps core.

What additional steps should I be taking to test this
snapshot.
