Hi,
I discovered SourceForge.net last week. I've installed the
htdig/htword perl interface on it
(http://sourceforge.net/project/?form_grp=593). I'd like to know if
some of you have strong feelings about them. From what I see at
present it's all good spirit and good quality. I sent a mail to press
them to release the code used to build sourceforge so that everyone
can contribute. If they do that quickly SourceForge can be a the best
thing that happened to freeware programmers since pizza. If they don't
it will be just another great idea paralysed by non freeware dynamic,
with a few talented technical people overwhelmed by workload.
Obviously, I'm thinking of moving most of the stuff from
www.senga.org to sourceforge.net. Only keep a few pages on
www.senga.org but get rid of the maintainance of
CVS/bugtrack/ftp/www/lxr and backups. I guess this could also happen
to htdig.org, provided we can contribute things like bugtracking
database conversion (jitterbug to sourceforge bug track), full text
search in pages and all.
Cheers,
