Hello,
I'm not sure of the proper procedures for submitting this. Anyways, here is
the issue and the work-arounds.
PLATFORM= SCO OpenServer 5.0.4 / Netscape Enterprise 2.01
After untarring it to an install directory, and running ./configure, the
issues that we were running into were as follows:
1. when running make -it would error out on line 41 of the Makefile.
1. work-around = after running ./configure vi the Makefile and join
lines 40 & 41
2. when we continue on with make - it was getting an error regarding
alloca , it needs to use malloc instead.
2. work-around = you have to define e.g.. REGEX_MALLOC "foo" in the
file $htdig_untar_dir/htlib/regex.c
After these steps it compiled nicely.
The credit goes to Tom Glascock of DLP Technologies, Inc. for finding the
fixes.
