Subject: [htdig3-dev] feedback on ht://Dig documentation

On http://www.htdig.org/ I'd recommend moving the "How it works"
document from the "Other" section up to the "General" section and
place it right after "Configuration."
"How it works" provides a good introduction to the components, but
there needs to be a second layer of documentation that goes into more
depth on actually using the ht://Dig system. For example, sample
scripts (there doesn't appear to be any documentation for 'rundig')
and cron entries for various scenarios. Something more along the lines
of an operational manual.
> The default configuration file.
Shouldn't the database files htdig creates also be listed here?
I forgot that ht://Dig could parse Acrobat documents until I ran
across that info again in the FAQ. There doesn't appear to be any
direct documentation discussing this (other than incidental
information as it relates to the config directives), warning the user
that they'll need acroread, or explaining how to disable the error if
you don't have it (or an alternative). (I figured out the answers to
these, but they should be covered somewhere...probably in that
operational manual I suggested above.)
