Which parser are you talking about. I can think of a few, not the least of
which is the htsearch/parser.cc. It might be nice to rewrite HTML.cc too.

Hardly. At this point we have something of two TODO pages--the user-level
one at http://www.htdig.org/TODO.html and the developer project list at
http://dev.htdig.org/projects.html I simply forgot to put that task onto
the projects list.
Besides, I doubt we'd turn down contributions. ;-)
