First off, great program! Particularly as it is very flexible and
customizable.
I have noticed, however, that htdig does not seem to support partial
searches. For example, if you search for "pres" and there's a page about
presidents then your search word should return this page. Of course fuzzy
searches may yield this result but they're no guarantee. And while you can
use meta tags and such to sort of enable this functionality, who can think
of every possible variation users might try?
We would like to continue to use htdig. Unfortunately we require partial
searches. I understand htdig is a volunteer effort, but could you give me
some idea if partial searches are a possibility in the near future? If yes
then we will happily use htdig and await the next beta. If no we will have
to find another search engine. In any case you should all be congratulated
on a fine job!
